Tow Crew Roadside is a roadside help service in Utah. Tow Crew Roadside requests are currently handled by Summit Towing and Recovery LLC, an independent Utah towing company that does the work or arranges it with a partner tow company (our "current service provider"). In this policy, "we" means Tow Crew Roadside and its current service provider. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

What we collect

Your request: the service you pick, where the vehicle is, where you want it towed, the vehicle, your name (optional), your phone number, your notes, whether you said you're in Utah, and the language you used.
Your location, only if you tap "Use my current location": your phone's GPS position, a map link made from it, and the street address and state we look up from it. We don't track your location at any other time.
Your consent record: the exact consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and the page you sent it from.
Technical information: our hosting provider (Netlify) may log your IP address, browser type, and pages requested to run and secure the site. We don't use advertising trackers, analytics, cookies for marketing, or third-party fonts. Your language choice is saved in your browser so the site remembers it.

How we use it

To call or text you about your request, quote the price, and send a truck if you agree.
To find and reach the vehicle, and to do the job.
To keep records of jobs and of your consent, prevent spam and abuse, and follow the law.

We contact you only about the request you sent. We don't use your number for autodialed marketing calls or texts.

Who we share it with

A partner tow company, only if we arrange your job with one. They get what they need to do the job (location, destination, vehicle, name, and phone).
Service providers that handle information to run this site:
- Netlify (netlify.com), which hosts the site and receives and stores requests;
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which emails a copy of each request to our dispatch inbox;
- Google (Gmail), where our dispatch inbox is kept;
- OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org), which turns your GPS position into a street address, only if you tap "Use my current location"; and
- our phone and text-message providers, when we call or text you.
When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of people on the road and others.

We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Text-message opt-in and consent information is never shared with third parties for their marketing.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. You can also tell the dispatcher, or email us, to stop calls.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you by emailing drtowut@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state law.
You can always skip the location button and type the address yourself.

How long we keep it

We delete request details 12 months after we receive them, unless we need them longer for a job record, a payment, a dispute, or the law. We keep the consent record (wording, time, and page) for up to 5 years so we can show we had permission.

If Tow Crew Roadside is sold or transferred

If Tow Crew Roadside is sold, merged, or transferred (in whole or in part), or a different company takes over handling requests, request records may transfer to the new owner or service provider. They'll still be covered by this policy, and the new company may only use them as this policy allows. We'll update this page to name the new company.

Security

We use reputable providers and limit who can see requests, but no website can promise perfect security.

Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
